Windermere is the great draw of the southern lakes. The broad water curves away between wooded shores, dotted with small islands mid-water. A launch crossing marks the surface, drawing the eye toward serrated peaks on the far horizon. It is a vast, open landscape known by heart.

This Muted Modern design reduces the famous water to bold, minimalist shapes. Rendered in a chalky contemporary palette of sand, oat, and sage, the landscape becomes a series of overlapping, quiet layers. From across a room, it resolves into a calm graphic abstraction anchored by clean, classic typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this print brings a modern Lakeland aesthetic to a sitting room or bedroom. A natural wood frame beautifully complements the earthy sand and oat tones of the artwork. Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
