Derwentwater stretches out as a wide, calm expanse broken by small, wooded islands. Walkers are drawn to its shores for the sweeping views across the water to the western fells and the steep, closing jaws of the distant valley.

This poster treats the scene through an Impressionist lens, abandoning outlines for broken colour and dissolving light. Rendered like a plein-air oil painting, textured marks of violet, blue, and gold build the landscape. From across a room, these fragmented strokes resolve into a luminous view, grounded by the bold typography of the vintage railway tradition.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
