Derwentwater is a wide, calm expanse scattered with small wooded islands, framed by the western fells and the closing jaws of a distant valley. It is a classic Lakeland scene, drawing walkers to its shores to take in the sheer scale of the water against a dramatic skyline.

This design captures the lake using the vivid, flat colours of vintage railway posters. The landscape is reduced to striking graphic shapes: brilliant blue skies stacked with bold clouds, and saturated fellsides in rich greens and rusts. Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
