Tarn Hows is a celebrated, island-studded tarn ringed by dark conifers and larch. A gentle path curves along its shore, drawing walkers for perfect vantage points across the still water to the towering blue fells rising beyond.

Reimagined through the tradition of a Japanese woodblock print, this scene is defined by layered colour and a soft gradient sky. Intricate evergreen silhouettes and quiet key lines trace the water's reflection and the winding pathway, creating a highly structured, bold composition that reads beautifully from across a sitting room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece makes a striking statement alongside a stairwell or in a holiday cottage hallway. A natural wood frame beautifully echoes the towering larches, while the black moulding perfectly grounds the darker forest tones. As part of a wider collection, it can be hung individually or collected as a matching set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
